If you are looking to add a touch of the tropics to your home, Rhaphidophora Decursiva is the plant for you. This leafy climber can grow to over five feet tall and its dark green leaves can reach an incredible twenty inches wide and forty inches long, making it resemble a super-sized fern.

Like most tropical plants, Rhaphidophora Decursiva loves humidity, but needs well-draining soil to keep its roots from getting waterlogged. Soil that contains a lot of organic matter is ideal, as is soil that is slightly acidic. This soil shouldn’t be compacted, it should be loose enough to allow its air-loving roots to “breathe.” Lastly, never let the soil fully dry out between waterings, but make sure the soil isn’t soggy either.

Rhaphidophora Decursiva is a great indoor plant, but keep in mind that it can grow extremely large. If you have a big enough pot you can keep it inside (just make sure the roots don’t get too crowded), but it also makes a great addition to your outdoor garden. As big as it can grow inside, it can grow even bigger outdoors over the span of just a few years, making it a real showpiece for your yard.

Keep it out of direct sunlight, though, as you don’t want to scorch the leaves of this gentle giant!

We ship from Los Angeles, and we only ship within the United States. We do not ship to Hawaii / Canada / International. We typically ship on Mondays or Tuesdays to avoid plants being stuck in transit over the weekends, but we may sometimes ship later in the week depending on order volume. With that said, we cannot guarantee or control delivery time. If delivery time is a concern, please opt for upgraded shipping.

We take great care when packaging and preparing your plants for shipment. They'll be shipped either in a nursery pot in soil or sphagnum moss, or shipped bare root wrapped in sphagnum moss or other damp material to retain moisture. We also add poly-fil around the plant for padding, then wrap it in bubble wrap, and finally add packing peanuts for extra cushion to ensure a safe and clean transport.

We also offer local pick-up if you're in the Los Angeles area.

We're a U.S. based seller so our plants ship directly from our greenhouse in Los Angeles to your house. You don't have to worry about the hassles associated with ordering overseas. No worrying about phytosanitary certificates, plants being stuck in Customs or USDA inspection, or having to acclimate plants to their new environment. When you order from us, it's simple and straightforward. Our plants are rare, but our customer service is always well-done!
