If you find most houseplants to be too bright and cheerful for your tastes, don’t let this stop you from gardening. Scindapsus Treubii Dark Form is a dark, mysterious, elegant plant with leaves so dark green they can appear black (not to be confused with the similar Scindapsus Treubii Moonlight form, which has silvery leaves), making it a great choice for those who want a plant with an edge.
With origins in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, this is a rare specimen with long, trailing vines that enjoys climbing, so a moss pole, stake, or nearby tree is required. Even though it may look dark and brooding, light is also important for the Scindapsus Treubii Dark Form. While it can tolerate low light conditions, it thrives most in a place with bright, indirect light.
High humidity will also brighten up the mood of this dark plant, as will quick-draining succulent soil. Water it only when most of the soil is dry, or when its leaves begin to curl up at the edges.
When properly cared for, the Scindapsus Treubii Dark Form can grow to over eight feet tall/long, with leaves of up to 20 inches. Now that is a nice, imposing plant for even the surliest of gardeners!

We ship from Los Angeles, and we only ship within the United States. We do not ship to Hawaii / Canada / International. We typically ship on Mondays or Tuesdays to avoid plants being stuck in transit over the weekends, but we may sometimes ship later in the week depending on order volume. With that said, we cannot guarantee or control delivery time. If delivery time is a concern, please opt for upgraded shipping.
We take great care when packaging and preparing your plants for shipment. They'll be shipped either in a nursery pot in soil or sphagnum moss, or shipped bare root wrapped in sphagnum moss or other damp material to retain moisture. We also add poly-fil around the plant for padding, then wrap it in bubble wrap, and finally add packing peanuts for extra cushion to ensure a safe and clean transport.
We also offer local pick-up if you're in the Los Angeles area.
