This Himalalayan Hoya is a unique addition to the already unique family of Hoya plants. Hoya serpens is known for its long, snaking vines and perfectly round leaves. These are pretty enough on their own, but we’re just getting started! Like most other Hoyas, Hoya serpens produces clusters of small flowers. But unlike other Hoyas, these flowers are pale green and look like they could be made of velvet. They emit a sweet, delicate scent that gets stronger as the amount of blooms grows.
In the wild, Hoya serpens grows on the sides of trees, but at home, you can grow it in a pot or hanging basket with well-draining peat soil mix or coco chips. Be careful, though, as care for this one can get tricky: too much watering can cause the roots to rot, but too little can cause the plant to suffer as well. It is recommended to water it two to three times per week so that it always maintains proper moisture levels.
In its natural habitat, Hoya serpens is accustomed to its light being filtered through the trees around it. To keep it happy at home, you should filter its light as well by keeping it in a partially shaded area or in a spot where it gets bright, indirect light for four to six hours a day.

We ship from Los Angeles, and we only ship within the United States. We do not ship to Hawaii / Canada / International. We typically ship on Mondays or Tuesdays to avoid plants being stuck in transit over the weekends, but we may sometimes ship later in the week depending on order volume. With that said, we cannot guarantee or control delivery time. If delivery time is a concern, please opt for upgraded shipping.
We take great care when packaging and preparing your plants for shipment. They'll be shipped either in a nursery pot in soil or sphagnum moss, or shipped bare root wrapped in sphagnum moss or other damp material to retain moisture. We also add poly-fil around the plant for padding, then wrap it in bubble wrap, and finally add packing peanuts for extra cushion to ensure a safe and clean transport.
We also offer local pick-up if you're in the Los Angeles area.
